About Us

Who We Are And What We Do

The Illinois Valley Fuller Center for Housing, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization headquarted in Peoria, IL.  We are a covenant partner of the Fuller Center for Housing, an international organization working worldwide to eliminate poverty housing. The Fuller Center International is headquartered in Americus, GA and was founded in 2005 by Millard and Linda Fuller, who also founded Habitat for Humanity International.

The Illinois Valley Fuller Center for Housing was formed in June, 2013.  It is governed by a  volunteer board of directors.  Our focus is on doing repairs oto homes owned by military veterans in Peoria, Woodford and Tazewell counties in central Illinois.

Applications for repairs will be reviewed to determine if the veteran is eligible for the IVFCH program.  Requirements include meeting income guidelines, being a current homeowner, and a willingness to help with repairs.  There will be no upfront cost for repairs.  Recipients will be encouraged to repay some or all of the cost of materials over an extended period of time to enable the IVFCH to complete repairs for other veterans.

IVFCH will conduct fundraising efforts to raise funds to pay for the cost of repairs. Where possible volunteers will help make repairs.  Churches, businesses, veterans groups, civic organizations and individuals will provide the funding and volunteers. We are committed to keeping overhead low and ensuring a high percentage of donated funds are used directly for repairs and ultimately new construction.  We have no paid staff and earn income in a number of ways to complement the donations and sponsorships we receive.
